The early bird catches the goody bag at the HHC'09. If you were one of the first 200 people to RSVP for the Second Annual Holiday Handmade Cavalcade, pick up your free hand printed "I buy handmade" goody bag by 2:00pm this Saturday, December 5th. After 2:00pm, bags may be claimed on a first come first serve basis. Your bag will be filled with treats from sponsors including Etsy, Yelp, ReadyMade, Knitty City, and Lion Brand Yarn to name a few. This is a handmade show, so it's only fitting to have handmade treasures from The {NewNew} in your goody bag, ranging from soy candles from Lu Crafts, bobby pins from Thistle Pixie, to magnets from Saru Star, and cell phone charms from Paperelle.

Didn't rsvp? That's OK. You still have a chance to win an embellished tote--specially decorated by several {NewNew} artists--loaded with handmade items donated from 15 vendors. Every purchase qualifies a shopper to receive a raffle ticket. Bring a list--a long one--and you're sure to find something special for everyone, while collecting a few raffle tickets along the way.

What's going on in Beacon, NY this Saturday?

Fall Handmade Cavalcade teams up with
Beacon's Second Saturday

Join the {New New} tomorrow in Beacon, NY for Second Saturday where the Beacon Arts Community Association is promoting the city as an up and coming center for the arts. Once a month they host this event where galleries and shops stay open until 9 pm. Check out their website to see the openings, music and dance performances available this month.

Alongside Second Saturday, the {NewNew} is partnering with the Hudson Valley Esty team at our second Fall Handmade Cavalcade at the corner of North Cedar and Main Street from 11-7. It’s a great time to spend a day with family and friends exploring the town and supporting local independent artists and businesses. Come to the Handmade Cavalcade early and then take advantage of the late store hours to hit the town.

Crafts In Chelsea Deadline Extended!

PS 11 in Manhattan is partnering with us - The {NewNew} - a local NY Metro group of Etsy Sellers, to close 21st Street between 8th and 9th Avenues, to host Crafts in Chelsea. A fall handmade street fair of the finest handmade arts and crafts the New York Metro are has to offer. From elegant jewelry to unique upcycled handbags, to cutting edge fashions, artwork, and more! All handmade within the New York Tri-state region.

There will be something for everyone with free food for kids, games, bouncy castles and a petting zoo inside the school - all to occupy the children, leaving the parents free to shop the best handmade goods in the Metro New York area!
