Countdown to Union Square Holiday Shopping

In just seven days, one of New York's finest Holiday shopping experiences will open on the South end of Union Square Park, at West 14th street. Over 100 merchants will gather to bring you a myriad of unique gifts including pottery, glass, clothing, and jewelry. Warm up with a cup of mulled cider or hot chocolate as you shop the colorful tents filled with amazing items. This year, The {NewNew} will be on site in a cooperative booth manned by several team members. Here is a sneak peak at a few of the participating artists.

Kimm from Kimmchi will be offering soft and beautiful screen printed tshirts, scarves and totes for both men and women. Her collection of designs uses a mix of deco forms, urban elements and adornments.

Mary Anne from WabisabiBrooklyn will be on hand to show off her stunning collection of jewelry that combines vintage elements, images from recycled paper, coins and other ephemera in unexpected ways to create true statement pieces.

The lovely and talented Virginia Kraljevic will be offering her quirky and whimsical illustrations and notecards, all hand drawn in pen and ink-all of which will make wonderful gifts for the holidays.

The effervescent Angela from EnchantraGirl will be warming up the booth with her eclectic jewelry designs-many featuring semi precious stones, fine silver, dainty design work, and natural stones.

The fabulous duo of Phil and Sara from Rocks and Salt will be on hand to make sure that people do not wear their slouch hats like turbans! All of their fine hats and skirts are handmade in Brooklyn out of the very finest materials.

The very talented Nguyen from Knitknit will be powering up our booth with her knitted and felted accessories with clever twists. Come meet the maker of the iconic power cord scarf!

There are several other fine artists in the booth--watch for future blog posts that spot light their awesome work! In the emantime, mark your calendars because Union Square Holiday Market opens Friday November 19th from 11-8pm and will remain open until December 24th. Please stop by and say hello to The {NewNew}.
