GABO Collaborative is a creative project by a scientist husband and sculptor wife duo, dedicated to creating functional handmade sculptural objects from paper mache - a strong and lightweight material with a beautiful texture. We design and create light fixtures, small furniture items and various home goods at our studio in Summit, NJ. Our aesthetic language is simultaneously quirky, and reaching back to the most ancient sculptural forms, bringing plenty of personality, history and playfulness to each object we create.
