Pizza Potter
Neil Myers
Queens
I like making things that people enjoy to use for everyday life. I began making pottery seriously after taking several classes with talented local potters at a studio here in the city. My partner took me to an event where they sold mugs and I signed up for my first class that same day.
I used to work out of a shared communal studio with about a hundred potters, but now I work out of a private studio in Ridgewood Queens.
My work ranges from slipcast porcelain, wheel thrown stoneware and porcelain, handbuilt stoneware and often combinations of each.
I have been selling my pottery since 2019 as Neil Myers Designs and then eventually evolved into the Pizza Potter as a brand. The name gets questions, simple answer I like Pizza, better answer is its a play on words “Piece a Potter(y)”.
