SATURDAY September 27 + 28 - find KarensMonsters taking a roadtrip up to Ithaca for the Apple Harvest Festival (monsters promise not to eat all the apples until after you get there...). Festivities will take place right in downtown Ithaca - see their site for more details, including festival hours.
Also Saturday and Sunday is your friendly neighborhood Brooklyn Indie Market with different vendors filling the tent each week at Smith and Union in Carrol Gardens. Tonight you can head on up to Chashama Gallery at 112 West 44th Street between 6th Ave and Broadway for new paintings by Miranda Hellman (who moonlights on Etsy as MiraArtz), opening from 6-9, new work in the Water Progression series.

Saturday July 26
The Brooklyn Indie Market will be in full swing under their stripes tent on Smith Street from 11am to 7pm. Fofolle's feminine summer skirts and WabisabiBrooklyn's vintage inspired decoupage jewelry will be on display this weekend.

Also on Saturday Night from 7pm to 11pm, The McCaig-Welles & Rosenthal Gallery on Roebling between North 4th and 5th in Williamsburg is hosting a silkscreening party. With a donation of $5 for materials, you get an open bar and are able to silkscreen some supplied original artwork from their artists Dave Tree and Jasper Patch on to a shirt or other article of clothing you bring.

In terms of classes for the upcoming week, here's what 3rd Ward, Etsy and Make Workshop have to offer

Make Workshop will be hosting an off-site quilting workshop on Saturday June 20.

The Etsy labs over at 365 Gold Street in Brooklyn will host a Print Gocco class on Saturday June 21 which looks to be sold out, but it looks like you'll have a chance still to take their Plush Character workshop from 11.30am to 5.30pm, or their Extraordinary Embroidery class from 10am to 3.30pm. On Monday - drop by for free instruction on How To Make Paper at the open crafting Night from 4-8pm. Next Wednesday June 25 from 6pm to 9pm Etsy will be having a Bookbinding class - and though it seems sold out, might be worth it to try the waiting list.

3rd Ward is also offering a Textile Design class this Sunday from 3.30pm to 6.30 pm in their space at 195 Morgan in Williamburg Brooklyn.

Have we got Indie for you this weekend!

Renegade hits town this weekend on June 14 and 15 at the McCarren Park Pool in Williamsburg (L train to Bedford Avenue). We have a couple of vendors that will be keeping it real under their tents in the pool. Cakehouse will have her unique silkscreened housewares made from recycled vintage material into placemats, coasters and napkins. Metalsugar will be there with her fun line of jewelry from rubber chicken and necktie necklaces to cupcake signet rings - YUM! And BetterThanJam will also be there with her line of silkscreened dresses and skirts, as well as cowls, aprons and bags. For wooden bookmarks made from salvaged scrap, check out BeaconBookmarks.
